Latest Golden Arrows centurion Velemseni Ndwandwe wants Abafana Bes'thende to benefit if it happens he leaves the club in the future, feeling that would be a perfect way to thank the club.

Ndwandwe became the latest Arrows player to garner 100 appearances for the club on Tuesday when they played a 1-all draw against Cape Town City at Princess Magogo Stadium. The 26-year-old utility winger cut his professional teeth in 2017, coming from the side's development, under then coach Clinton Larsen. A jubilant Ndwandwe has made a pledge to remain faithful to Abafana Bes'thende.

"I am very happy to have played 100 games for the club. It's a special moment for me. This milestone motivates me. I am proud of myself because it's not easy to last this long in the PSL. Arrows have been good to me from the word go, so my wish is that they benefit when it happens I move elsewhere,'' Ndwandwe told Sowetan yesterday.

"My way of saying thank you to Arrows would be when they get money out of me when it happens I move. When my contract expires [he didn't want to say when] I will not backstab Arrows and sign a pre-contact without them knowing because I want them to get money if I move."

Ndwandwe has netted a measly 12 goals from a century of games in Arrows colours. The lad from Empangeni admits his numbers don't make a good reading for an offensive player. However, Ndwandwe feels his numbers would have been better if he didn't play numerous other positions outside his primary right-wing slot.

"I could have scored in more games by now, my stats aren't good but again in the past I played many other positions, like in the midfield... that meant I wasn't getting into those dangerous areas to increase my chances of scoring. When I was younger, I also didn't stick in the box like I do nowadays. I used to drop back a lot.''

Most appearances for Arrows

Musa Bilankulu (230 games)

Thanduyise Khuboni (196)

Philani Shange (176)

Joseph Musonda (164)

Mzuvukile Tom (157)
