Why do whites fuss over EE?

Why is it that some whites complain about employment equity when all reports since its inception show that white males and females have bene- fited most.

Just recently the commission on employment equity stated that more than 20,6percent of white women - as opposed to only six percent of blacks - have benefited from EE. White males continue to be preferred for senior positions over blacks.

Shouldn't it be blacks who scream the loudest, asking why a legislation intended to redress racial imbalances of the past continues to perpetuate it?

The hard reality is that the mines, retailers, banks and all other main sources of the main stream economy are still in the hands of whites.

It is true that unemployment and poverty hits blacks more than whites. Then what is the fuss all about?

Salary disparities between black and white are the highest in the world. Many blacks are not embracing employment equity for promotion but to have any job, no matter how lousy.

Though there might be some truth in the reason for white migration, how possible is it that most leave the country because they, like other skilled blacks, can earn more in Europe than here.
