Malema a hypocrite

DURING the election campaigns, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema was seen by his supporters as the next Thomas Sankara, the Burkinabe military captain, Marxist revolutionary and pan-Africanist theorist.

But he does not even come close. Given that he once accused public servants of not using public facilities, you would expect Malema to lead by example.

This is the same man who said public servants should send their children to public school, but he is doing the opposite.

He refuses to send his son to public schools, claiming that they are dysfunctional. If these schools are dysfunctional, who must go to these schools?

It shows that this man cannot be trusted. Those who voted for him should be hanging their heads in shame. The next thing he will tell his supporters is that nationalisation can't work.

He is always indicating left but turning right. Put simply, he is a demagogue and people should be wary of him.

These individuals cannot be trusted with our votes and next time we vote, we must show them that our votes are not to be gambled with.

Tom Mhlanga, Braamfontein
