SuperSport beat several premiership rivals to Thabo Mnyamane's signature

Ambitious Pretoria side SuperSport United have confirmed the signing of midfielder Thabo Mnyamane on a three-year deal.

United saw off stiff competition from several premiership rivals to land the former University of Pretoria player’s signature.

The player’s arrival signals coach Stuart Baxter’s intentions for the coming PSL season and United now have the look of club that will certainly not just make up the numbers.

The club has already signed Reeyad Pieterse‚ Keegan Ritchie‚ Onismor Bhasera‚ Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Cole Alexander during the off season.

Platinum Stars‚ Orlando Pirates‚ Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer chiefs were all believed to be sniffing around the player after his club was swallowed by the relegation quicksand at the end of the last campaign.

Given his immense potential‚ he was never going to go down to the lower tier with AmaTuks and it was only a matter of time before he was snapped up by a top-flight club.

Mnyamane’s decision to join United will come as a blow to Stars coach Cavin Johnson‚ who never hidden his desire to bring the player to the North West club.
