Day two of the second unofficial four-day Test between Australia A and South Africa A was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of rain in Townsville on Friday.

South Africa were 220/5 at stumps of the first day, with Farhaan Behardien and David Wiese on 35 and zero not out respectively, after they won the toss and chose to bat first.

The South Africans were currently 1-0 up in the two-match Test series.
