Erasmus loses his cool over Gqubule

SUPERSPORT United striker Kermit Erasmus launched a scathing attack on Premier Soccer League referees at the weekend in an expletive-laden tweet that was later deleted.

Erasmus was unhappy at the officiating of Buyile Gqubule in SuperSport's 1-0 home loss to Platinum Stars on Saturday night, calling refereeing standards in the PSL a "f****** disgrace".

That was soon deleted and replaced with a toned down version of the criticism, but one which still gets the point across that he feels his side have been short-changed by officials this season.

"We work too hard to prepare for our games and get robbed like this. It's unacceptable, the highest level of football in SA with the poorest refs," Erasmus tweeted.

United were unhappy after Dikwena were awarded a penalty when Thabo September was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.

Henrico Botes stepped up to score the only goal of the game.

Matsatsantsa have also had four red cards so far this season, more than any other club - with Franklin Cale, More Diouf and Edwin Gyimah (twice) sent off.
