Department increases water allocation to Rand Water
Despite the water and sanitation department increasing the bulk water allocation to Rand Water as an emergency measure to address water shortages which have hit most parts of Gauteng, it might take weeks for the public to receive more water.
This is according to the department's spokesperson, Sputnik Ratau, following minister Senzo Mchunu’s announcement that this temporary measure will be in place for nine months to bring relief to some municipalities until the department finds a permanent solutions to the water scarcity...
