Zuma appointed senior counsel Mike Hellens who will replace Advocate Kemp J Kemp‚ who acted for Zuma for over a decade.
He will act for the former president when he appears in the Pietermaritzburg High Court on 27 July.
Addressing a large crowd in the Eastern Cape on Sunday, Malema said the lawyers will charge R150 000 a day.
