The parents of a girl who was allegedly sexually violated by her teacher have vowed to fight to the bitter end to ensure disciplinary action is taken against him.

This follows allegations that a Limpopo teacher at Mohlakaneng High School in Seshego near Polokwane allegedly failed the pupil after she rejected his advances.

Incidentally, the school is ANC Youth League president Julius Malema's alma mater.

According to the 17-year-old girl's parents, the teacher asked them to allow the girl to help him mark exam scripts.

The marking took place at a local church where the teacher is a church elder.

According to the policy of the department of education, it is unlawful to mark pupils' scripts outside schools' premises, let alone to use pupils to mark scripts.

The victim's mother told Sowetan yesterday that they allowed their daughter - who was in the company of a friend - to go with the teacher.

While in the process of marking, the other girl got a call from her siblings and she leftbecause she had the house keys.

Soon after this, the teacher allegedly started touching the victim on her breasts and told her how much he loved her.

The girl left the church building because she was uncomfortable with the teacher's actions.

She then told her parents who wrote a letter to the school's authorities about the incident.

They were promised the matter would be reported to the education department.

Department spokes-man, Ndo Mangala, confirmed knowledge of the allegations and said they were still investigating.
