Kabul resumed hanging and shooting this week after more than a year. Three Taliban were sentenced for attacks in the past few days.

The Taliban leadership council said yesterday: "We strongly request the UN, EU, Red Cross and human rights groups to earnestly prevent this barbaric act. - Reuters
