It is a shame for Mbulelo Goniwe to see his political career come to an abrupt end.

I think the ANC has made a brave decision to expel him after finding him guilty of misconduct.

They have set a good precedent by stripping him of almost everything for the abuse of power. That should send some shock waves to others who continue to abuse the power handed to them by the masses.

It shows the ANC's commitment to root out evil deeds.

Goniwe's punishment is severe, but deservedly so.

This should be a warning to others involved in shady deals - their days are numbered.
