According to Ruth Munitz‚ manager of Seeff Shortstay‚ non-hotel accommodation is becoming more popular in the Mother City.
“Client needs tend to vary‚ from the basic yet functional to posh. Villas with pools and views are always in demand”‚ said Munitz.
In addition to being in high demand‚ these villas are often rented at high prices.
Munitz says that visitors can generally expect to pay R2‚000 to R10‚000 per day in the CBD and R4‚000-R30‚000 a day in the luxury suburbs on the Atlantic Seaboard‚ such as Clifton.
Villas on the “top end of the scale” can cost a vacationer anywhere from R50‚000 to R200‚000 per day. Along with artwork from around the world and elegant furniture‚ many of these villas offer 24-hour staff and large swimming pools.
The Lookout‚ a two-bedroom villa in Bantry Bay‚ is priced at R125‚000 per day during high season. The property‚ listed on the Dogon Group Rentals website‚ is in a central location with access to many amenities and award-winning restaurants.
