Teko Modise emerges out of the dressing room at Loftus Stadium with his head held high despite Mamelodi Sundowns having dropped another two points.
The veteran midfielder insisted that there was "no finger pointing" though the Brazilians took longer to leave the dressing room after their goalless draw against Polokwane City on Tuesday - Sundowns's third league match without a win.
"Dona" insisted that the team was not losing sleep over their slump.
"The only pressure we have is to better our best and that's what we are focusing on right now," Modise told Sowetan.
"We've got a bunch of good players and good coaches. This is football and we are very courageous. We are not looking down and pointing fingers. We are a united team," he insisted.
Though Modise's name no longer features regularly in the starting XI, he remains committed to the cause.
"I'm one of the coach's soldiers and whenever he [Pitso Mosimane] needs me, he knows I'm always available. I'm also pushing the guys, which means I need to lead as well," said the former skipper, who has made two starts and eight substitute appearances this season.
Sundowns will take a 2-1 lead to Uganda where they meet Kampala Capital City Authority on Saturday in the first round of the CAF Champions League.
