Erasmus thanks Pirates fans as he bids farewell to the club

New Stade Rennes striker Kermit Erasmus has expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to play for Orlando Pirates.

The former Bucs hitman joined French Ligue 1 side Rennes on a two and a half year deal.

Erasmus was amongst four Pirates players who were nominated in CAF's Player of the Year - based in Africa award in last year.

Writing on his personal social media site on Wednesday, the 25-year-old said: "Never give up on your dreams work hard and have patience."

"First of all I would like to thank all the Orlando Pirates fans throughout my time at Pirates, for believing in me and supporting me."

The Bafana Bafana goal poacher says he is determined to achieve more and get the best out of himself.

"Then I also would like to thank the whole Orlando Pirates team (coach, players and technical team) through ups and downs we still had a good time together," he said.
