Retired Chippa United defender Mbuyiselo Sambu has been appointed assistant coach to Dan Malesela following the suspension of Roger Sikhakhani on Monday.
Former assistant coach Floyd Mogale turned down the opportunity to work with Malesela opting to remain with the club's development structures.
“We are delighted to give Sambu this opportunity," Chippa Mpengesi said.
"He brings with him a wealth of experience and already holds a leadership position in the dressing room."
The 32-year old defender has 13 years experience as a player in top-flight football, having played for the team likes of Platinum Stars, Free State Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic.
