The Premier Soccer League (PSL) moved swiftly to announce new dates for the postponed fixtures yesterday, but SuperSport United coach Gordon Igesund said he was still disappointed at having to wait another week to resume his league programme.

The postponed matches have now been set for Tuesday October 27 and Wednesday 28.

SuperSport were scheduled to face Chippa United in Port Elizabeth tomorrow evening, but would have been without Ronwen Williams, Clayton Daniels and Dean Furman.

But the SA Football Association's chaotic travel arrangements meant they, along with other players from Bidvest Wits, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town, would only arrive on match day.

Igesund said: "I am very disappointed, and so are my players. We have worked so hard and fined-tuned the team to be prepared for the game on Saturday, only to be told that the match has been postponed. We understand the situation because there are four teams involved and they also have key players in that squad."

His Wits counterpart, Gavin Hunt, said it was "only fair" for their fixture against Jomo Cosmos to be moved.

"We've got our core players, more than anybody else, in the Bafana team. I think it is fair that the games are off because we haven't played in so long," said Hunt.

"We really wanted to play, but to be fair, it is not right and we have got to accept it. I think, in the best interest of the game, it is the right decision. These things happen."
