Tinkler going nowhere: chairman

Orlando Pirates chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza has confirmed that Bucs caretaker coach Eric Tinkler will remain in charge of the team next season.

Former Bafana Bafana midfielder took over the Soweto giants after Vladimir Vermezovic resigned from his post with immediate effect on 03 December, 2014.

“There is no reason to change anything as this might have a negative effect on the momentum Eric has managed to build”, said Orlando Pirates chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza.

“Continuity is important in football. It is important from both a physical and psychological standpoint. Eric’s hand is getting sturdier with time. There is no need to interrupt his growing momentum”, Dr Khoza told Pirates official website.

Pirates under the guidance of Tinkler has managed to finish fourth on the Absa Premiership log with 50 points from 30 games.
