Igesund faced with 'nice headache'

Kingston Nkhatha will be closely coaxed back to potential fitness this week as SuperSport United seek to have him back in the team for Saturday's Nedbank Cup semifinal against Ajax Cape Town.

The Zimbabwean national again sat out for SuperSport at the weekend because he was not considered fit enough for the 1-1 draw against struggling Moroka Swallows.

"He wanted to have a chance to play but I didn't want to risk him. He plays a big role for us and he has put in some good combination with Jeremy Brockie and Bradley Grobler. It was a precaution not to play him," explained coach Gordon Igesund after the draw at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

"Brockie and Grobler are very similar players, they want to get balls played up, they want to hold up the ball whereas Kingston is a player who peels off and plays off the shoulder of a defender, which we obviously want.

"I'm very happy that all the strikers have been playing. Bradley has been outstanding, Brockie has been playing and so has Nkhatha so that gives me a nice headache."

Igesund will also have Mor Diouf back at the heart of defence, after not risking him against Swallows because he was sitting on three yellow cards, and Daine Klate and Ennocent Mkhabela, who were both suspended.

He was not happy with his side's showing in Saturday's draw, feeling they had too much of their minds on the cup semifinal.

"I was a little frustrated . we ended up just knocking the ball instead of trying to get behind them [Swallows]," added Igesund.
