De Sa wary before encounter with Chiefs

AJAX Cape Town coach Roger de Sa says he hopes log leaders Kaizer Chiefs will be distracted by their trip to Kinshasa when the two clubs meet in an Absa Premiership match at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane tomorrow.

It comes after injury-plagued Ajax failed to score at home on Sunday against University of Pretoria, the goalless draw leaving them stuck in 10th place.

"Games against Chiefs are always difficult. We are not the best travellers but I think they have other things on their mind. So hopefully we can get a result," said De Sa.

But Ajax will be shy in attack with Eleazor Rodgers and Nathan Paulse out with injury, leaving De Sa to pin his hopes on new Zimbabwean signing Simbarashe Sithole.

"Every time you are missing those kind of players it affects you, but it was nice to get Simba back and I thought he gave us something different. He has been out for quite some time and showed signs that there is something there."

Sithole, a centre forward, made his PSL debut coming on as a second-half substitute against AmaTuks at the Athlone Stadium on Sunday. "I was disappointed with the result [0-0] against Tuks, they are a spoiling side and they do it so well, playing nice and tight and then they've got the ability to catch you on the counter attack," added De Sa.
