BAROKA FC want to get their challenge for automatic promotion back on track by pushing Roses United deeper into the relegation quagmire in Polokwane tomorrow.

The Bloemfontein outfit are away to Baroka in a National First Division league match at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Baroka are still reeling from a 2-0 defeat by Jomo Cosmos in Tembisa last Saturday, while Roses are still smarting from a 3-1 drubbing by neighbours African Warriors in Mangaung on Wednesday.

Roses pulled off a surprise in the first round of the league when they beat Baroka 3-1.

"We owe Roses United big-time after that embarrassment and we won't allow them to make it two in a row," warned Baroka coach Sello Chokoe yesterday. "I told my players we have to stop underestimating clubs that are not performing well for us to realise our dream of automatic promotion to the PSL."

Baroka, who have experienced players like Mpho "Zico" Maleka and Gift Motupa, are fourth on the log with 36 points from 22 games. Well-travelled Brian Kgafane is suspended and Chokoe will use the opportunity to give some of the youngsters a run.

United, guided by former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Simon Gopane, will pin their hopes on the likes of Collen Zimba and Sipho Moeti.

Black Leopards will be away to rejuvenated Thanda Royal Zulu at Umhlathuze Sports Complex tomorrow afternoon. Leopards are second on the log with 38 points, seven behind log leaders Chippa United, who face a spirited Warriors side at Charles Mopeli Stadium on Sunday.

Third-placed Milano United travel to KwaZulu-Natal tomorrow for what should be an easy assignment against tail-enders Blackburn Rovers at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Vasco entertain United FC at Parow Park, while Sivutsa Stars and Maluti FET College meet at Kabokweni Stadium in Mpumalanga.

On Sunday, Witbank Spurs host Cosmos at Puma Rugby Stadium. The weekend games start today with a match between Santos and FC Cape Town at Athlone Stadium at 7.30pm.

All matches will start at 3.30pm, unless indicated otherwise.
