Class of 96 back in action

MEMORIES of Bafana Bafana winning the Afcon finals will be relived when the Class of 1996 take on Africa Legends at Moses Mabhida Stadium on tomorrow.

The Class of 96 is made up legends like Doctor Khumalo, Zane Moosa, Linda Buthelezi, David Nyathi, Helman Mkhalele, Jerry Sikhosana and Neil Tovey.

From the team that beat Germany 2-1 last month, where Khumalo was highly impressive, coach Clive Barker and assistant Teenage Dladla have roped in five more players. The quintet are Thabo "Tsikitsiki" Mooki, Isaac "Shakes" Kungwane, Tshepo Ntsoane, Japhet Zwane and Andre Arendse.

Africa Legends stars include Ernest "Wire" Mtawali, Roger Feutmba, Muisi Ajao, Kennedy Malunga, Dennis Lota, John Maduka and William Okpara.

Class of 96 media officer Thomas Kwenaite said after their win over Germany in Polokwane, they have decided to take the team to various provinces. "People were happy to see the Class of 96 back in action and asked us to organise more games in all the major cities. We plan to go Zambia, Nigeria and Cameroon for more games," Kwenaite said.
