Rovers out to topple AmaTuks

BLACKBURN Rovers general manager Luxolo Matikinca reckons his charges have the gumption to defeat National First Division log leaders University of Pretoria when they meet in a top-of-the-table clash at Buffalo City on Saturday. Kickoff is at 6pm.

Rovers are second on the log with 37 points from 20 matches, while AmaTuks top the standings on 40.

Matikinca said after they had spent the first quarter of the season on top of the log, the only way to return there would be to defeat AmaTuks.

"We have great respect for AmaTuks but we don't fear them. We have prepared well and victory is certain. A victory will also be sweet revenge after they defeated us in the first round."

Matikinca said in the absence of key players Thandolwethu Prince and Mazwi Ncube due to suspensions, they will rely on the likes of Charlton Mashumba, Curtis dos Santos and Linda Shiba for victory.

AmaTuks football manager Kenny Neluvhalani said they will approach Rovers with caution. AmaTuks will pin their hopes on the likes of Aubrey Ngoma and Philani Khwela.
