AFTER winning the inaugural FNB Lucas Radebe Football Festival, Majimbos are planning a tour of Mauritius to prepare for the 2013 continental competitions.

Guided by Solly Luvhengo, the South African Under-17 soccer side won the tournament after beating Zambia 3-1 and Namibia 7-0.

"Our preparations to qualify for the 2013 African Under-17 Championships scheduled for Morocco are going very well. We are delighted to have won this tournament," said Luvhengo.

"It is fitting for South Africa to win it because Lucas Radebe is one of the soccer legends in our country. We would like to thank Safa and FNB for making it possible for us to feature in such a well-organised event.

"We are planning to visit Mauritius in December to play two international friendlies against their U-17 national team as part of our preparations for the qualifiers. We have assembled a solid team that will not only qualify for the finals in Morocco, but go all the way to become the first local team to reach the World Junior Championships."
