FORMER Black Leopards assistant coach Joel Masutha has been reunited with Vladislav Heric at National First Division outfit African Warriors.

Masutha and Heric worked together as head coach and assistant coach at Black Leopards two seasons ago. Heric left the Venda-based club last season.

Masutha's contract expired at the end of the season and was not renewed by Leopards so he tracked down Heric and restored their partnership.

Masutha's appointment was confirmed by club boss Jabu Khumalo, who said Masutha has been signed on a one-season renewable contract.

"We are confident that Masutha's vast NFD experience will assist us to get promoted to the elite league.

"With the good foundation laid by Vladislav last season, we believe that their combination will work wonders," Khumalo said.

Masutha said he appreciated the confidence the Warriors management and Heric have shown in him.

"I am happy to have reunited with Heric as we worked very well at Leopards. I am convinced that our combination will assist Warriors to be promoted," Masutha said.

Meanwhile, Sivutsa Stars, who have been promoted to the NFD, have fortified their squad with an additional 10 players.

The new signings were announced by club owner Derrick Khoza. They are: Mbongeni Gumede from Orlando Pirates, Sandy Nyathi (Free State Stars), Vukile Mngqebelisa (Jomo Cosmos), Mfanelo Makume (African Warriors), Bantu Ngidi (AmaZayoni Academy), Ntokozo Myeni (Mologadi FC), Karen Banta and Frederick Nguimbous (both from Batau FC), Thabo Rakgale (Mighty Mega Force) and Masiqole May (Benoni United).
