Julius Malema in R100m bid for Swallows

MOROKA Swallows boss Leon Prins is said to be tempted to sell his club to Julius Malema after the firebrand ANC Youth League leader put a staggering R100million offer on the table.

According to people in Malema's circle, the Seshego-born politician is close to inking a deal with Prins. Malema is believed to be assisted by his long-time admirer and former Ria Stars' boss Ria Ledwaba in his concerted bid to buy the once-feared Beautiful Birds. The duo intend to relocate the club to Polokwane next season.

"Though Julius did not play football when he grew up, he has an unshakable passion for the game," said our source privy to the negotiations. Attempts to get clarity from Malema and Prins proved fruitless last night. They were said to be in a meeting to finalise the deal.
