The land issue is central to success of rainbow nation

Our beautiful country has faced challenging times for centuries, in particular over the land issue.

South Africa is a country that is united in diversity. However, the ongoing racial acts, subjecting each other to taunts as sub-humans, kill the notion of a rainbow nation. For us, black and white equals must treat each other with respect and dignity.

The question of land has to be referred to the highest court of the country (Constitutional Court) or the Land Court, in which the court must proclaim whether South Africa was stolen or confiscated from indigenous owners or not.

The ruling has to be sensitively addressed and debated in parliament to take this country forward.

I believe this approach will bring about lasting solutions and stop racial taunts between South Africans.

The land is the only thing in the world worth working for, worth fighting for, worth dying for, because it's the only thing that lasts.

We are united in diversity.
