OUR men and women in blue are not a lucky lot in Southern Africa.

Daily they are confronted with armed criminals who do not think twice about killing.

Criminals in our country are so sophisticated they execute their deeds with military precision, armed with powerful weaponry.

For instance, they attack banks and bomb ATMs during their robbing spree.

But police in Swaziland are having it easy.

Reports from the kingdom are that criminals there use traditional weapons on ATMs when they want to withdraw money.

A Swazi bank manager is quoted in a local newspaper as pleading with those who use knobkerries to access ATMs.

Apparently sticks are popular in Swaziland for settling disputes, including with ATMs that swallow one's card, causing inconvenience and anger.
