Ten people were killed when a taxi and a truck collided head-on near Middelburg‚ Mpumalanga on Saturday night on the Old Middelburg Road.
A seriously injured 22-year-old woman was found in the front of the taxi. She was the only survivor among the the people in the taxi. Paramedics removed her from the vehicle and rushed her to Middelburg Provincial Hospital.
The driver of the truck had minor injuries. He was treated on the scene and later transported by provincial emergency services to the same hospital.
