Zuma accepts the resignation of two SABC board members

President Jacob Zuma has received and accepted the resignation of Mr Krish Naidoo and Mr Vusi Mavuso as members of the Board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC)‚ the Presidency said in a brief statement on Sunday.

“President Zuma has thanked Mr Naidoo and Mr Mavuso for their contribution during their tenure as board members and wished them well in their future endeavours‚” said Presidency spokesman Bongani Ngqulunga.

Naidoo and Mavuso announced their resignation in front of Parliament’s portfolio committee on communications on October 5 when the SABC board appeared before the committee over former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s re-appointment as the head of corporate affairs despite court findings that he was unfit.
