Accidents claim 21 lives

TWENTY-ONE people were killed and scores of others injured in vehicle accidents across the country in the past four days.

  • Five people died and two others were injured in a collision on Graham Road in Pretoria East yesterday.
  • On Saturday, six people died when two cars collided on the N12 near Wolmaranstad in North West.
  • A mother and daughter died on Friday when a taxi collided with their car outside Bellville High School in Western Cape.
  • A motorcyclist and a woman died on the N2 in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, on Friday.
  • Four people died and two were injured when their car overturned in Levubu, Louis Trichardt, on Friday.
  • Two men died in separate accidents in KwaZulu-Natal yesterday, one in Pietermaritzburg and the other in Durban.
