A KRUGERSDORP man yesterday gunned down his wife and father-in-law before turning the gun on himself.
Police spokesperson Captain Jacob Raboroko said they received a call about a shooting at a house in Mindalore, Krugersdorp, at about 10.15am.
"On arrival, police found one body lying on the driveway while the other lay next to the door of the house," said Raboroko.
"Both bodies had bullet wounds to their heads.
"A third person, believed to be the wife to the dead man, was rushed to the nearest hospital with two bullet wounds to her head," he said.
Raboroko said the woman later died in hospital.
"Our investigations have established that the man went to the house, shot the father-in-law, his wife and then turned the gun on himself," Raboroko said.
He said the motive for the killings was not known.
The wife was aged 43, the husband 40 while the father-in-law's age was yet to be confirmed.
Police would not give out more on the murders saying investigations had already started.
