WITH their top eight place far from secured, Moroka Swallows have promised Jomo Cosmos no mercy in their season-ending Absa Premiership match at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Ezenkosi are rooted at the bottom of the log and desperately need to win the match to have any chance of playing in the promotion playoffs. But Swallows skipper Lefa Tsutsulupa has warned them not to expect any special favours.

"Though I deeply sympathise with Cosmos, we are also in need of points. AmaZulu are breathing heavily down our necks so we need to solidify our top-eight spot," Tsutsulupa said.

The industrious midfielder also said it would be against their professional ethic to relax against Cosmos.

"If we take it easy on them and they get a result, people are going to start speculating (that the match was fixed)," he said .

If Mpumalanga Black Aces beat Ajax Cape Town in the Mother City on Saturday, the result wouldn't matter, and Cosmos would drop straight down to the National First Division.

Cosmos's fellow candidates for outright relegation are a point ahead of their rivals.

Cosmos midfielder Bamuza Sono said during the week that pressure could make their young players crumble and Swallows might just exploit that.
