"Morale is down. We are going through a bad patch but we will soon pick ourselves up," he said at a pre-match conference ahead of their derby against Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow at Orlando Stadium. Kickoff time is 3.15pm.
But Seema said there was no crisis.
"Obviously the recent results have been of great concern and I think this derby came at the right time when the chips are down.
" Pirates, who at one stage led league, have not registered a single victory in their last five games. Instead they shared the spoils in two games and lost three consecutively. They are currently placed fifth.
On the other hand Chiefs skipper Jimmy Tau, whose side brought down recently crowned MTN8 champions Lamontville Golden Arrows with a 2-0 drubbing midweek, refused to be drawn into the issue of Chiefs being favourites tomorrow. He opted to warn his teammates against complacency.
"Our victory against Arrows was on Wednesday and that's it. Our focus is on Saturday. Derbies are a different game altogether. Current form counts for nothing. This match carries history and there is a lot of pride at stake," Tau said.
The derby has not taken place at Orlando stadium for more than two decades.
