"It seems he lost control of the vehicle, it rolled repeatedly and came to rest in the middle of the highway.
"The girl was thrown from the car as it rolled," Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeff Wicks said.
The cause of the accident, at about 3.30pm, was unknown.
The girl sustained massive head, spinal and internal injuries, as well as multiple fractures.
Paramedics declared her dead on the scene.
Her father was treated and stabilised before being taken to hospital. - Sapa
