"Golden Boy", as Chilembe is nicknamed achieved, that feat via a lopsided points win against David "Bassaja" Kitooke. Their fight, which Chilembe won easily, topped Berman's bill that attracted about 3000 fans at Graceland Casino, in Secunda, Mpumalanga.
"Chilembe is something special," said Berman. "Listen, he is only 22 years old. There is ample time to correct any wrong if there is in what he is doing. We won't rush him, but one thing certain, he will be busy."
Berman hinted that his next stop could be Rustenburg in September.
Judges scored the fight 120-110, 116-111 and 118-110.
He bettered his record to 13 wins against one defeat.
Nothing much can be said about the competitiveness of the fight except that Chilembe's usual combustibility was not there. But this charismatic fighter still remained superior skilfully though.
Kitooke looked better than he was in their first fight last year April. In that fight he suffered an eighth-round stoppage.d
"He came fully prepared," said Chilembe. "But I was not in any danger. He can't punch, but still I had to be cautious. I hope to be back in action soon."
Meanwhile Golden Gloves development fighters, Jackson Chauke and Joey Stiglingh, won their fights convincingly against Vus'umuzi Manyoni and Sipho Nkadimeng, while Grant Fourie's win over Daniel Bothman was debatable. Fans registered their vote - they booed it.
The fight, which stole the show was a six-rounder in the junior flyweight division between "Charity Fire" Mukondeleli and Ronald "Pocket Rocket" Parks.
Styles makes fights and these two thin as needle battles scarred warriors who have seen it and done it all unsuccessfully though, thrilled fans with their styles.
Mukondeleli was a matador. He moved smartly from side-to-side, giving his man angles while Parks was a bull.
He walked straight at Mukondeleli and delivered power punches, but the sleek Mukondeleli survived and emerged victorious.
