The rally, attended by ANC Mpumalanga chairman David Mabuza, saw the slaughtering of three cows to feed the hundreds of people who had come to meet the provincial ANC leadership.
Mabuza's visit to the area was the first since he was elected provincial chairman last month.
Morema, who was the programme director, said ANC president Jacob Zuma would be South Africa's president next year, while Mabuza was the future Mpumalanga premier.
