The sit-ins and pickets outside the magistrate's courts in and around Durban by Jacob Zuma's supporters continue today.

These activities are part of the ongoing demonstrations by the ANC and its alliance partners who call for a permanent withdrawal of charges against the ANC president.

Next Friday, Judge Chris Nicholson is expected to hand down his ruling on Zuma's application to have his prosecutiondeclared unlawful.

eThekwini ANC regional secretary Sbu Sibiya said they would march to 11 courts around Durban to hand over memoranda to the chief magistrates.

Magistrate's courts that will be affected are Durban, Verulam, Phoenix, Ntuzuma, Point, Chatsworth, Nsimbini, Mbumbulu, Wentworth, Umlazi and Pinetown.

"We will not disrupt the proceedings of the court, but we want to make our voices heard," said Sibiya.

Regarding KwaZulu-Natal Judge President Vuka Tshabalala's comments last week that by marching to the courts the ANC would be threatening judges, Sibiya said they were actually protecting the judiciary.

"All we are saying is that they must not get involved in political matters.

"This is a political case, which needs a political solution and the courts should not get involved," Sibiya added.
