The two people who died in a car accident on Sunday, in which Durban-based kwaito sensation L'vovo Derango was a passenger, are Sello Mohlala and DJ Buddha from Durban.

L'Vovo and artist manager Zakes Matiti were also injured.

He and Matiti are currently recovering at a Springs private clinic.

L'Vovo went into surgery on Monday.

Mohlala was working closely with music promoter Prosper Mkwaiwa.

He was driving L'Vovo, Matiti and and DJ Buddha to the airport when the accident happened.

The driver of the other car involved in the fatal accident also died at the scene.

The four were on their way to OR Tambo International Airport to catch a 9pm plane to Durban after performing at the Delmas 100 Celebrations Music festival when the accident happened.

The festival was organised by Mkwaiwa.

Meanwhile, EMI/CCP, L'Vovo's recording company, yesterday said that L'vovo and Matiti were recovering well.

"L'Vovo is much better after undergoing an operation yesterday," said Orack Shabangu, CCP's marketing director.
