Dineo Moeketsi shares her weight loss secret
Losing weight is not a simple task but there are some celebrities who make it look so easy.
After the fatty and unhealthy food intake over the festive season comes the yearly new years resolution ‘I want to lose weight’.
Putting those words on paper and promising to stick by them is only the first step, putting those words into action is where the difficulty begins.
Our local Celebrities could be the nearest inspiration when it comes to staying committed and striving for that body one desires.
So we asked the gorgeous Dineo Moeketsi to share a little on how she keeps her hard earned body in shape.
Before even making it to the gym the TV presenter and actress says she used to be self conscious and feared being laughed at.
But despite the fear she took the step to gym.
“Even if you are fearfully out of breathe get on that wagon. My whole life I was afraid that people would laugh at me,” she says.
“What I love about gym is that we are all sharing some sort of insecurity about our bodies…think of it as a shared load. Remember everyone is going through the same thing,” Moeketsi says.
She added that getting in shape is one of the best ways to boosts your confidence.
“The more you ignore everyone else the more confident you become. The old me could not dare wear shorts in public but now that I have been toning up I rock them and could care less about my insecurities.”
Dineo’s weight loss tips:
-Limit or exclude carbs (carbohydrates) from your diet
-Cut out alcohol, beer or cocktails
-Set a weekly goal for your work out schedule. Go on the treadmill for 20 minutes a day, don’t overdo it at first.
-Drink water, I’m fond of warm water and lemon. It makes water tastier, try it.
-Get rid of the yummy things you love: I am a lover of yummy food, ribs and all but I had to learn how to cut off the junk I love.
-I am currently on a detox after the festive. When you can, try eating veggies and fruit.
