Hosting relatives and friends over the holidays? Odds are that they’re getting randy in the guest bedroom.
Because according to a poll conducted by online travel site Priceline.com, nearly half (49 percent) of the 1,000 US respondents admitted to engaging in some sort of holiday nookie, be it in the teenage bedroom they grew up in, or on their aunt’s fold-out couch in the basement.
But it’s not just horny house guests that are engaging in R-related holiday fun. That figure also applies to hosts, who admitted to being ‘naughty’ in their boudoir while guests slept -- or not -- just down the hall.
Maybe that’s why two-thirds (68 percent) of Americans said they preferred that their out-of-town guests stay in hotels.
A quarter of respondents also expressed a preference for staying at a hotel, rather than with family.
