THE annual '80s Music Extravaganza will take place in two provinces, Gauteng and Free State, next month.

This year's line-up includes Condri Siqubu, Phumi Maduna, OM Alec Khoali, William Mthethwa, Dan Nkosi, Sydney, Cee Bee, Babsy Mlangeni, Senyaka, Masike Mohapi, Dan Tshanda, Splash, Ali Kat, Zizi Congo, Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse and Mercy Phakela.

Kwaito artists such as Mdu Masilela, Thebe, Mashamplane and Alaska will also perform.

"We decided to extend the offering to Gauteng to ensure that we bring forth the forgotten legends to our people, and we are excited about the two shows," said festival spokesman Mohale Molotsi.

The festival is sponsored by Sunday World, Sowetan, Lesedi FM, Emfuleni local municipality, Metro FM and the Free State Tourism Agency.
