Frozen veggies are as healthy as fresh ones

A CONCERNED mom wants to know if frozen vegetables are as healthy as fresh ones...

The first prize probably goes to veggies grown in your own garden.

These are generally allowed to ripen and can be grown with little or no pesticides.

Frozen vegetables can, however, be even more nutritious than the fresh vegetables sold in the shops because vegetables picked to be sold in shops are often picked too soon and are never allowed to ripen to the point where it has maximum goodness locked inside.

The best bet is probably to buy, or grow, the vegetables that are in season.
