Khoza to tickle your fancy

Those who have not heard the jokes of this talented young man from Pretoria should do themselves a favour and see his show

I HEARD comic Eugène Khoza's jokes on Kaya FM and just like at an upmarket Chesa Nyama in Tembisa, Gauteng, they left me in stitches.

Those who have not heard the jokes of this talented young man from Pretoria should do themselves a favour and see his show at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg.

Khoza will perform his stand-up comedy show, Khoza Can!!, from January 26 to 28.

The show will be filmed for his debut DVD.

He is well-known to television audiences as co-host of the SABC1 sports magazine show, Countdown 2010, which ran from 2008 to 2010.

Khoza has tickled the funny bones of diverse audiences around the country with his multilingual delivery and incisive humour joking about South Africa's many cultures.

His rise in comedy began when he reached the semi-finals of M-Net's Laugh Out Loud comedy competition and won the Ricoffy Comedy Challenge.

The comedian went on to form part of the lineup for Arts Alive 2007 and also performed in Blacks Only and Heavyweight Comedy Jam.

Khosa has also hosted, with Trevor Noah, e.tv's reality competition The AXE Sweet Life.
