Beach needs cameras

RECENT attacks in East London, including the rape of two foreign tourists, and this week's stabbing of Advocate Dali Mpofu highlight the need for CCTV cameras along the Esplanade.
These projects have been held up due to political pressure from the ANC.
With the safety of visitors and residents in jeopardy at our most scenic tourist spots this should be a logical initiative.
