Masses muster for revolution at correct pace

THE first step in the working class revolution is to raise the proletariat to be the ruling class, to win the battle of democracy.

The Communist Manifesto talks about the adoption of the following measures:

Abolition of property in land;

A heavy, graduated income tax;

Abolition of all right of inheritance;

Confiscation of emigrants' and rebels' property;

Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state by means of a national bank;

Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state;

Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state;

Equal liability of all to labour;

Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industry;

Free education for all children in public schools.

These measures can only be applicable in full when, and only when, the working class is in power, when it is itself the ruling class, when it owns the state, as in Cuba.

The working class will seek to place control of the vital sectors of the economy in the hands of the national democratic state and correct historic injustice by demanding the nationalisation of the mining industry, banking, and monopoly industrial establishments, so laying the foundations for the advance to socialism.

They stumble, those who run fast like Juju; the ANC is not the ruling class, the ANC is the ruling party.

We are at the correct pace of mass mobilisation towards a new, better system.
