The last thing Sundowns forward Anthony Laffor wants to talk about is his much-publicised relationship with coach Pitso Mosimane.

Mosimane was recently quoted as saying the Liberian international is a "difficult person to work with".

And when he faced the media during Sundowns' open media day yesterday, Laffor made it clear that he was focused on what he dubbed as the biggest game of his career - the CAF Champions League final against Zamalek on Saturday at Lucas Moripe Stadium (3pm).

To his relief, the media instead focused on the final and asked how Sundowns were going to approach the first leg on Saturday. "We need to get a good result, 2-0 or 3-0 will be a good result, because it is not going to be easy in Egypt. The North African teams are like that, so we need to prepare very well."

And as much as Sundowns winning the trophy will lift SA football since Orlando Pirates won the premier continental club competition in 1995, Laffor felt it could have a positive effect for his home country too.

"I think I will be the first Liberian to play in the [Champions League] final if I'm not mistaken, and I think it is a good thing, but it would mean nothing if the club doesn't win," he said.

"This game will be the biggest of my career. I have been playing in [Afcon and World Cup qualifiers] but this is different. Forget about winning the PSL [title], Nedbank Cup and Telkom Knockout, because this is an African Cup. This is the biggest [club] tournament in Africa."

The 31-year-old has since called on all South Africans to rally behind the Brazilians in their pursuit of the CAF title.
