Lance Klusener has been fired as coach of the Dolphins cricket team as his contract was not renewed on Monday.
According to ESPN cricinfo Klusener was given “no reason” for the dismissal and he found the decision “very strange”.
The Dolphins were expected to make a statement on the matter later on Monday.
Klusener was at the helm of the Durban franchise since January 2012 when he started out as interim coach of his former team.
An aggressive allrounder Klusener, 44, played 171 One Day Internationals and 49 Tests for South Africa from 1996 to 2004. – African News Agency
