National under-17 coach Molefi Ntseki will not make the mistake of going to the Fifa Under-17 World Cup in Chile next month without doing his homework on his team's opponents.

Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba recently went to Mauritania with no cooking clue what the opponents had to offer, and the lacklustre South African team was duly punished by the minnows, who claimed a 3-1 victory.

Amajimbos, who play a friendly against Chile in Cape Town on Sunday, are in Group E with Russia, Korea DPR and Costa Rica for the World Cup, and Ntseki will make sure they know as much as possible before they get onto the pitch with these countries.

The World Cup kicks off on October 17 and Amajimbos begin their campaign two days later against Costa Rica.

"In football you can't be playing anybody without going through the analysis of that particular team. So we are busy working on it," Ntseki, pictured, said.

"We do have video clips of those countries and we are working with our video analyst Tiro van Rooyen."

Ntseki, who is currently in camp with his 25-man squad, is set to announce the final squad of 21 immediately after the friendly match on Sunday.
