In tough conditions on a rainy Reconciliation Day, Pretoria University eventually took control of a fluc-tuating Absa Premiership game to run out 5-1 winners over Polokwane City yesterday.

On a sodden pitch, all six goals were scored in a thrilling second half.

At 1-1, strikes from Atusaye Nyondo and Geoffrey Massa in the 74th and 76th minutes knocked the wind out of City's sails. Massa added a fourth in the 85th minute and Thabo Mnyamane an embarrassing fifth in the 89th.

Earlier Mnyamane put AmaTuks ahead in the 48th minute before Cole Alexander equalised for City in the 56th.

City's run of seven games undefeated came to an emphatic end. They play flamboyant football but coach Kosta Papic's ability to organise a defence might again come under question.

Massa was the danger man of the first half for Tuks.

City's best chance of the first half came in the 27th minute when Jabu Maluleke's sweetly struck left-footed free-kick was stopped at full stretch by keeper Washington Arubi.

But AmaTuks took the lead at the start of the second half when Massa played Mnyamane in down the left, to finish past Dino Visser.

City equalised after Arubi fisted away a Maluleke corner, and Alexander slammed home a left-footed shot.

AmaTuks stormed into a 3-1 lead with two goals from the right-hand side. Nyondo's rolled finish to the far post was almost stopped by a puddle and Massa scored a blinder minutes later, cantering down the flank and slamming past Visser.

The City defence disintegrated as Massa ran through again in the 85th, surrounded by four of his own players with just Visser to beat, which the Ugandan duly did.
