A WOUNDED Mamelodi Sundowns might prove a more dangerous proposition than usual for Ajax Cape Town tomorrow, according to coach Roger de Sa.
"You don't know whether it is a good time or bad time to play them. You don't know whether they are going to come out more motivated," said De Sa as reporters suggested his side faced a vulnerable visiting side, ready to be picked off, when they host the Absa Premiership champions at Cape Town Stadium.
Sundowns lost their opening game to Platinum Stars in the MTN8 and were then held to a 1-1 draw at home on Friday by Maritzburg United.
But De Sa was not buying any of the theories: "Sometimes it is better to play against teams when they've come from a series of a win because they are over confident.
"We don't know what we are going to get from Sundowns. Are they going to make radical changes to their lineup? I'm not sure. Will they go with the big guy Mame Niang up front or will they perhaps play [Bongi] Ntuli? It's all a bit of a guessing game.
"I just hope it rains and it is windy and blustery because the Gauteng teams don't like playing in those conditions."
The Ajax coach said he was satisfied with his own club's start to the new season, having taken a point from a goalless draw against AmaZulu in Durban on Sunday.
"It was a typical opening game of the season. A bit scrappy with both sides playing not to lose."
